First and foremost, Smart TVs can access the internet. This is a feature that normal TVs such as an LED TV does not have. When you buy a smart TV, you can access all the data on the internet right on your TV screen. Of course, you will need a Wi-Fi connection for the internet facility.

Built-in Apps:

Also, Smart TVs come with various built-in apps. This is another feature an LED TV does not have. You can use the apps right on your TV. You do not need any extra equipment for that. LED TVs again does not have this feature.

Web Browser:

LED TVs does not have a web browser in the first place. On the other hand, Smart TVs usually come with web browsers that help you to access the internet.

Content Streaming:

You can stream content such as music, videos, and shows on your Smart TV. Any content available online such as in Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, and so on, can be streamed on a smart TV. LED TVs, on the other hand, fall short on this feature.

Online Interactive Media:

Smart TVs also have another feature that can be called online interactive media. Through this feature, any person can interact with the TV via a remote or any device of the same kind. LED TVs, of course, lack this feature.


LED TVs does not come with a touchscreen. On the other hand, many Smart TVs come equipped with a touchscreen.

Hybrid Product:

Smart TVs are, in general, a hybrid product between a TV and a computer. It can handle many of the tasks that a computer can handle. While on the other side, LED TVs are just like good old TV set with a superior picture quality.
